They have capped ends for a finished look and offer a hidden track mounting system on which a C- coupling bracket plate slides along the underside track increases its usage and creates a universal application. These step bars appear to be of good quality and are a decent price...BUT...make sure you are able to get the installation kit as well. The brackets that attach to the vehicle are NOT included, which is a shame. I called Westin b/c I couldn't find the brackets in the box. I was then told that they are sold separately and for my truck, a 2009 Ram, the brackets are still in production and will not be available for another 45 days!! Total B-S.
