After much thought and a lot of research I decided to take a gamble on the Kuryakyn Running boards rather than the Cobra brand because the photos of the Kuryakyn brand was far superior. I was a bit nervous after reading the 1 star review but decided to chance it and I'm sure glad I did. The boards do sit off further than the OEM footpegs but I did not encounter scraping as mentioned in another review. As a matter of fact I would have to lay the bike over to accomplish such a feat. The install was easy and my only complaint is since this particular item is for "metrics" why does the company not preinstall their splined adapter? These have changed the feel of the bike tremendously and will take a couple more weeks of getting used to a more comfortable ride (joking).
