Operate the Black Widow Motorcycle & ATV Combo Jack with either compressed air or by using the hydraulic foot pedal. The BW-0102 can lift up to 1,500 lbs. with the hydraulic foot pedal or with compressed air, between 5" to 16-1/2" off the ground. For shop convenience, the handle is removable and rear caster swivel wheels help to maneuver the 80 lb. jack to different locations. Safety features include a 3 position safety lock, 12" x 2-1/2" non-slip rubber lift pads to protect the motorcycle frame and keep it stable, a rubber padded foot pedal, and tie down locations with safety straps to secure the motorcycle or ATV in place during lifting.

Black Widow Motorcycle & ATV Pneumatic Hydraulic Jack Review

I am a cheap sorta guy and was hard pressed to spend this kind of money on a motorcycle jack when there are so many jacks out there for less. However, after a lot of research I decided this was the one for a number of reasons.
1. Fits the bike well. The support bars fit the bike well and do not come in contact with the shocks on the underside of the bike. The support bars extend about 2 inches past the frame. Also this was one of only 2 jacks where the manufacturer had the full spec sheet listed online. In fact they had the mechanical dwgs showing all the dimensions so I knew it would fit my bike before I ordered it. Other cheaper jacks had some basic dimensions listed but not all. It was those jacks that had reviews like "....won't fit a 2002 Road King Classic...." or "...good for my ATV but does not fit my VTX1300...".
2. Option for compressed air. I have a 5 gal Sears compressor and the ability to use it with this jack was a real plus.
3. Reviews about the quality of the build. Comments like "sturdy and stable" really sold me because the cheaper jacks had comments like "....good jack but watch out when lowering..." or "...the jack will lift the bike but I was not comfortable moving the bike on the jack....". Comments like this made me realize that the cheaper jacks came with some risks that I could not afford with a $20K bike.

After receiving it, I was not disappointed. It took 30 min to put it together (4 assembly steps) and test it. The included rachet straps tied it down and moving the bike on it was stable. It is a great addition to my garage now the Harley is off warranty. In the end I realized (and no offense to the hardworking motorcycle mechanics out there,you guys rock) that this jack costs about 2 hrs of labor at the local HD shop ($95/hr). So my savings from doing the next oil change and lube job myself covers the cost of the jack.
The one thing I will ding it on is the foot pedal pump. On my jack it is a bit "floppy" with a lot of left and right swing. Not sure if that is standard or just my jack. I am looking at what it will take to remove this play without voiding the warranty.

So, a good jack for a reasonable price that should last for years. I recommend it.

LS2 Helmets FF396 FT2 Full Face Motorcycle Helmet (Solid Gloss Black, Medium) Review

I must have looked at a hundered different helmets before settling on this one. I decided to go with a full face helmet (not a modular) after doing research on crash statistics. Seems like 75% of documented impacts is to the face/jaw area, so if you are wearing a half helmet or 3qtr you might as well not wear one at all. PS. I ride an 1100 Honda Shadow cruiser, so don't feel like you half to wear a half to look right, because I look damn sexy.

Now on to the helmet:

1. Fits great - make sure if you are ordering online you do a proper head measurement for the size. Don't go "big" for extra comfort, because the padding wears down and also when you are doing 90 the wind will make it bounce around on your head, so go for a nice tight fit. 2. Clear visor works great, is easy to clean with water or windex and a paper towel

3. Quick release chin strap, clicks in so you dont have to thread it or pull on anything.

4. LOTS of ventalation

5. My most favorite: it has an internal dark visor that pops up and down on demand with a click of a button on the left underside of the helmet. So when you come over the crest of a hill after being in the dark and the sun is blazing, you just hit a button and now you are wearing shades. You never have to worry about having sunglasses with you when you ride.

6. Comes with optional reflective stickers - very high visibility.

7. Padding is removable and washable.

8. Has a cool "pump" system (kind of like the old reebok pumps), but it seems the inflation is only aroung the jaw area, but its still a cool feature.

Lanzar SDN72UBD 7-Inch Double-DIN TFT Monitor Touchscreen DVD/MPEG4/MP3/DIVX/CDR/USB/SD/AM/FM/RDS with Built-In Bluetooth Review

I've had this in my car for two months now. On the plus side, DVD playback is good - excellent screen, good on screen controls. But every new disk you put in, it defaults to closed captions being on, and there's no way on the screen to turn that off - you have to use the remote, so keep it handy.

On the minus side, the USB connector is some incredibly tiny thing and I can't figure out what cable it takes - its smaller than the mini-USB, maybe its a micro but it looks even smaller than those. I guess the IPOD is supposed to hook through there? Because there is no other port, but I've not found an IPOD to micro USB (A or B) cable for sale anywhere on line.

And don't bother with the manual - its a pile of broken English that makes no sense whatsoever.

Bluetooth worked great on this unit, for about a month, and then mysteriously stopped working. Go figure.

Volume for CD and DVD playback is pretty low, I didn't use an amp but will probably have to add one.

Oh, and one more pet peeve: the mute button is right next to the eject, and they're all the same size. So you reach for the mute, instead you get the CD or DVD ejected and the radio plays.

Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Ford Models (Black) Review

I bought the Husky WeatherBeater floor liners instead of the Weathertech digi-fit floor liners (which I have been very happy with in the past) to save a little money after reading good reviews about them. I received the floor liners and placed them in my F350. The passenger side mat fit excellent, but the driver side floor liner had very poor fitment. Also, the back floor liner had no advantage of the Ford rubber mat in the back. I ended up returning the Husky Weatherbeaters for a set of Weathertech digi-fit floor liners.
