Installed in about an hour on my 2012 CRV. The cutting instructions left me rubbing the plastic under panel on the hitch a bit, but some light trimming was no big deal. Even with the extra cutting time, install was a breeze.

I have used this hitch twice to tow an enclosed Uhaul trailer from Tacoma, WA to Marysville, CA (roughly 700 miles). I haven't experienced any issues whatsoever.
