Spectra Premium CU2987 Complete Radiator Review

Took about an hour to swap out on a manual 05 GTO. I was able to unsnap, no screws or bolts, the AC condenser from the front of the radiator and pull the radiator with a few minutes of fiddling with it. The rubber doughnuts come right off the old radiator and fit onto the new one to keep it in place in the track that holds the radiator.

I did notice that the top clips that snap over the top of the radiator had some slack in them with the replacement. I rolled up a couple pieces of rubber to shim the top clip so it would be tight against the radiator. I'm not sure if this is a slight height difference between radiators or if I It just a little slack I didn't notice when I pulled the clips. This is definitely a do it your self project.

Overall, saved me 300 on a aluminum replacement. I figure i can buy another plastic tank, spend another hour, and save $100 in the worse case. fins were nearly perfect. Car runs at temp as expected without issue.

Make sure to flush, dont mix green & the stock dex-cool coolants, and top off with distilled water.
