I have two battery banks, one for the trailer main or house batteries, and a separate bank for the inverter. Needless to say, I do not ever want to run the house batteries down to where I have no furnace, but the inverter is for the niceties in the camper and are not critical. This charge controller allows me to keep the battery banks isolated, all the while charging both battery banks simultaneously. For my application this is perfect! There are lower cost charge controllers available for those with only one battery bank, but for those of you wanting or requiring isolation this is the right charge controller for you!
