Soundstream REF1.500 500-Watt Mono Block Amplifier (Blue) Review

Got this amp for my birthday to replace an early 2000's Rockford Fosgate 360.2 amp for my subs. Loved the sound of my Fosgate. Had very clean sound and underrated power (typical of old school U.S. built amps). I know most of you old school guys think I'm committing a sin by buying something Korean built but, I trust that Soundstream's reputation is on the line by having their amps built overseas so they probably keep a tight quality control on their product. Anyway, Soundstream Reference amps back in the day was always regarded as one of the best sounding amps money can buy. Which is the reason for me buying this amp. And I have to say that, this amp performs and sounds as good as they say they do. Very sturdy, good quality parts and good quality build. This amp also requires an 80 amp fuse. Which leads me to believe that it probably puts out more power than it's rated at. I know that it sucks that American companies took their business overseas (such as Fosgate, Soundstream, PPI, etc.). But since I hooked this amp up it really has exceeded my expectations. I hear a lot more detail in my music that I wasn't hearing before with my Fosgate. So with that being said, I highly recommend this amp. You won't be disappointed.
