Owned these for five years and threw them into the scrap barrel. After three years the rust started under the powder coating. Anywhere there was a rock chip the black coating pealed right off and exposed all the rust under it. They rust from the inside out, not caused by chips or salt. I sanded them down and sprayed each one with rust free textured bedliner spray. Looked great for a few months and the rust came back, eating right through the new coating. I lived with that for two more years and junked them because they were making the truck look like junk! Never buy Smittybilt nerf bars - You will not be happy with how long they last for the money you spend.
