Steeda 701-0005A Underdrive Pulley Set Review

I installed the pulleys in June 2011 on my 2007 GT automatic. My throttle response improved instantly. When I hit the gas, especially from a stop, the car responds instantly; no throttle delay. I haven't seen much of a gain in MPG but than again most of the driving is in the city where I get about 13.0-14.0 MPG on average. I also haven't noticed much of an HP gain.

I think the worst part was the installation. There were several issues I ran into. I didn't have an impact wrench so taking off the top pulleys was really hard. I have an auto, so the harmonic balancer kept rotating even when I had the emergency brake on or put the car in D or 1st gear. I had to use a crow bar to lock it in place. I did have another person working with me so that made things a lot easier. Taking off the harmonic balancer was very annoying. I was using 3 different pulley pullers, which I rented from AutoZone and AdvanceAutoParts, but unfortunately none of them fit perfectly. The smallest pulley puller was the best but the long screw that pushes the pulley away from the engine was too short! I had to use a socket as leverage. Then when I was putting on the harmonic balancer using a torque wrench, I once again had to use a crow bar to lock the harmonic balancer in place because it kept turning.

In the end, make sure you have an impact gun. This will make the whole process A LOT easier and quicker. Torque wrench is also necessary. Instead of renting just one pulley puller, get a few and make sure they are SMALL! I had 3 pulley pullers and none of them fit perfectly. Having another person helping you out is a huge plus. First, we don't have an RV or Semi-Truck. We do have a son over 6 ft. tall, complaining about his short twin bed, with his feet hanging off. This XL Twin mattress for under $200 fit the bill. We simply put it on top of his box springs and it has enough support at the bottom so his feet don't push it down (where it's off the box springs.) The combined 3 mattresses give us flexibility to either flip the topper over, flip the entire mattress over or flip the bottom "topper" over, to continually change the pressure points. The foam will depress over time, so it needs changing around.

We've owned this over 3 yrs. now and we're still happy with it.

Senge Graphics 2002-2004 Honda CRF 450R Podium Red Graphics Review

The kit didn't include air box graphics or upper fork (Showa or KYB) graphics. The swingarm graphics are to small, they only cover a portion of the swingarm. Fitment was average, some trimming was required. I'll haven't had them long enough to see how well they wear but they seem fairly durable. The overall look is good, there's room for improvement.

Extreme Max 3005.3380 4-Step Pontoon/Dock Ladder Review

If you are looking for the most inexpensive pool deck or dock ladder that is good enough, this is the one. The sloping four step version is really nice to have since you don't have to lift your legs up to get on the bottom rung while in the water. It's pretty light construction and mounting attachments - you wouldn't want 280lb men using it over and over. For stronger kids and lighter adults you'll want to be easy on the ladder and it will be fine.

It is reasonably well made, mine had one slightly cracked weld and I had to drill out the holes on the handle where the J hooks mount so that the square part of the carriage bolt would enter the aluminum tube, allowing the J hook to secure flat against the ladder. Punched square holes for the carriage bolts would have been better. Even so, my 8 year old was able to assemble most of it. Mounting it on the dock was not too bad since I removed some boards so I could reach under the dock and hold the lock nuts underneath while tightening the screws. Just be aware that you need to get tools both above and below the dock/deck to fasten the mounts. Not unusual for this kind of ladder.

Since many owners will be mounting it to a dock that is likely bobbing up and down in the water some extra mounting hardware would have been nice. Fortunately I didn't drop anything in the water but it was definitely a concern.
